This 6-Day Electric Guitar Building Course is a hands-on experience designed to guide you through building a professional-quality instrument from start to finish. Based in Josh Stopford’s Somerset workshop, the course is suitable for complete beginners as well as players and craftspeople looking to deepen their understanding of guitar construction, setup, and maintenance. With 1–1 tuition and all specialist tools provided, you’ll be guided through every stage—from body routing and neck carving to electronics, fretwork, and final setup. Josh builds high-end guitars for artists including IDLES, The Vaccines, and Alberta Cross, and has worked on instruments for The Stranglers, Massive Attack, and more. Having taught over 100 students, including professional technicians, he brings extensive experience to every course. By the end of the six days, you’ll leave with a fully custom-built guitar and the knowledge and confidence to maintain it.
