Orders, Payments & Cancellations

West Valley Guitars offers completed instruments for immediate purchase, made-to-order Fever instruments, and fully bespoke custom commissions.

In-Stock Instruments

Completed instruments shown as in stock are available for immediate purchase. Full payment is required at checkout.

Fever & Made-to-Order Instruments

An initial payment of £500 is required to reserve your build slot.

Once your build slot and final specification have been confirmed, payment will be brought up to 50% of the total order value.

A further 25% is due when construction of your instrument begins, with the final 25% due approximately two weeks before completion.

Your individual payment schedule and estimated build window will be confirmed with your order. All balances must be paid in full before an instrument can be collected or dispatched.

Bespoke Custom Commissions

For fully bespoke commissions, such as the Indiana models, 50% of the total order value is payable once the specification has been agreed and the commission confirmed.

A further 25% is due when construction begins, with the final 25% due approximately two weeks before completion.

Your individual payment schedule and estimated build window will be confirmed with your order. All balances must be paid in full before an instrument can be collected or dispatched.

Build Times

Because every West Valley instrument is individually built by hand, build and completion dates are estimates rather than guaranteed dates.

An estimated build window will be provided when your build slot is confirmed. Should circumstances arise that affect this estimate, we will let you know as soon as reasonably possible.

Cancellations & Returns

In-stock instruments purchased online are subject to your applicable statutory cancellation and return rights.

Made-to-order and bespoke instruments are produced to the customer's chosen specifications. Where an instrument is made to your specifications or clearly personalised, the statutory right to cancel simply because you have changed your mind may not apply.

If you wish to cancel a made-to-order or bespoke commission before completion, please contact West Valley Guitars as soon as possible. Any refund due will be determined in accordance with your statutory rights and may take into account work already undertaken, materials ordered or used, and other reasonable costs or losses incurred in fulfilling your order.

Nothing in this policy limits or excludes your statutory rights, including your rights where an instrument is faulty, not as described, or otherwise does not conform to your contract with West Valley Guitars.
